The areas you will visit on this tour are amongst the most beautiful in Italy, featuring rolling hills, olive groves, vineyards, castles, villas, lakes, rich history, charming hill-top towns and colorful canals. You will experience the best of Rome, and Tuscany, while admiring the beautiful lake district of Italy.
You will have the opportunity to visit such places as the Vatican Museums, Siena’s medieval historic center, and the Renaissance jewel of Florence. To make your experience more authentic, the hotels selected capture the essence of each regions. Flights: Flights should be purchased by each individual traveler according to the scheduled program, HOWEVER Daiquiri Tours can also assist in securing flights for each individual, often at discounted rates. Once flights have been booked, the traveler should provide all arrival and departure information to Daiquiri Tours.
Transfers: Arrival transfers in Rome are not included in the package price. Information will be provided to the traveler with the various options available upon arrival. Private transfers can also be arranged and prepaid in advance. Additional information on pricing will also be provided with travel documents.
Post Extension: Want to spend Christmas or just a few more days in Italy…Lake Como, Lake Maggiore, Cinque Terre, Milan, Rome, Sorrento and Amalfi Coast, Dolomites/Alto Adige, Tuscany, or Umbria. Post-extensions are available to the locations listed above. If you would like to extend your trip in Italy, please email Daiquiri Tours so they may customize your extension.

Day 1 Rome arrival, afternoon at leisure and welcome reception with Roman dishes and local wines
Day 2 Motorcoach tour of Rome featuring Piazza Venezia, Roman Forum, Tiber River and more. Afternoon walking tour with local guide to feature Colosseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. Afternoon at leisure to explore and dinner on own
Day 3 Depart for Tuscany! Visit Siena with a walking tour, free time for lunch then an afternoon stop in San Gimignano to explore at your leisure and end the day in Florence with a typical Tuscan dinner
Day 4 Morning guided walking tour to include the Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Reppublica, Ponte Vecchio and more. Afternoon at leisure to explore the city and lunch on your own. This evening enjoy a wine tasting featuring some of Tuscany’s most prized wines, served with a sampling of antipasti and small desserts
Day 5 Morning at leisure then depart for a Chianti Winery Tour with lunch. Then hop on a train to Lucca for a guided walking tour and choose between a special concert highlighting Puccini or head to Pisa to check out the famous leaning tower (train on your own and meet the group back in Florence). Dinner this evening on your own
Day 6 Depart for Bologna and enjoy a walking tour visiting local markets and food shops and sample their renowned mortadella, parmigiano and more. After lunch tour a balsamic factory and sample different ages and styles. Dinner on your own
Day 7 Morning boat ride towards St. Mark’s Square, enjoy a walking tour with views of the Rialto Bridge, the Fenice and other hidden gems of the city and a possible Murano Factory glass-blowing demonstration. Afternoon at leisure and farewell Dinner this evening at a local restaurant with wines and specialties
Day 8 Departures on own (not included but assistance will be provided in making arrangements) or extend the trip and celebrate the holidays in Italy!

About Annette Morejon, ITMI Lead Instructor & Tour Director Italy is a land of rich history, a vast culture, and amazing food! At Christmas time it is a magical place filled with nativity scenes, lights, and special markets. This tour will include helpful insights about Italy and how to successfully tour direct in this rewarding yet sometimes challenging destination. During your trip learn about local guidelines and regulations in the tourism industry and experience the magic of Italy during Christmas time.
Annette has worked extensively with Italy over the last 19 years. As a former Product Manager for Italy for one of the leading Tour Operators in the US, she assisted in developing and managing programs throughout all of Italy and helped to train other tour directors. She has overseen tour operations and FIT travel to even the smallest towns of the country. Annette is part owner of Daiquiri Tours (a small tour operator that organizes trips to Europe, Costa Rica, and Cuba) and Whisper System in the US and Cuba (radio guide systems for guided tours). She loves sharing her passion for Europe with others and considers Italy to be her home away from home.
