For those needing to learn the logistics, commentary, and how to run a successful student tour of Washington D.C., the 5-day class is perfect for you.

If you need is a refresher, or you need to learn the logistics of Washington, D.C., the 2-day pre class is for you.

For those who know the city well but want to learn how to take static facts and turn them into learning opportunities, the 3-day class is what you are looking for!

About Carol Kendrick, ITMI Lead Instructor & Tour Director Prior to working in the travel industry Carol was a teacher, assistant principal, and a principal in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for over 32 years.  As a principal her schools consistently ranked in the top tier in school rankings of test scores, academic standards and curriculum offerings. During her tenure she was awarded many honors including the AZ LEAD principal of the year, and was a city of Phoenix’s Woman of the Year finalist. Her leadership to the education profession included local and state presidencies as well as being elected to and serving on the national board of trustees for the National Middle School Association and Association for Middle Level Education. 

 While taking her students on domestic and internationals experiences she was introduced to the International Tour Management Institute (ITMI) and tour directing.  Upon her retirement from public education she attended ITMI and became a tour director.  Carol focuses on student tours in Washington, D.C. and adult luxury trips in the American West, but on any given day you might find her anywhere!  Carol established herself as go to person and serves as a mentor and trainer for the industry.  She was recently awarded the North American Tour Director of the Year by Insight Vacations. 

She delights in leading trips of a lifetime to historic, geologically interesting, and breathtakingly gorgeous places.
